5 Tips To Hosting A Memorable Minnie Mouse 1st Birthday by Julie Boesen
Who doesn’t love Minnie Mouse? Mickey’s girlfriend has been a favorite in our family for a long time! So naturally she is the first disney character that i thought of when we began planning our daughter’s 1st birthday party! So, how do you make this Minnie Mouse 1st birthday party one to remember? Here are 5 great tips to help you plan the best 1st birthday party ever!
1. Think Pink! Minnie is a girly girl and wears pink and heels all the time so why not make pink the main theme color for your party! Use pink balloons, pink streamers and pink frosting on the cake to really accentuate the feminine feel of your Minnie party.
2. Minnie Cutouts. Get yourself some cardboard and trace the Mickey Mouse face and ear shape. You can either paint these shapes pink, white or black or consider painting them all black and add some cute pink bows!
3. Minnie Invitations. The invitation will really help to set the mood for your party and get your guests in the right frame of mind. You never get a second chance to make a first impression, so get a hold of some cute Minnie Mouse themed invitations to send to your guests. If you are crafty then you could make your own invitations and save yourself some money at the same time!
4. Minnie Cake. A 3 tiered cake would be the perfect addition to any Minnie Mouse party! Decorate your cake with pink and white icing. You could frost your cakes pink and put white polka dots on them, or frost them white and pipe some cute pink ribbons and bows. Make sure you top the cake with a figure of Minnie Mouse to really complete this look!
5. Minnie Mouse Deserts. Make sure you provide your guests with a wide variety of different deserts besides your cake! One cute idea you can use is to bake up and frost some cupcakes with white icing. Then get yourself some Oreo cookies – both the full sized ones and the snack ones. With toothpicks attach two of the snack sized Oreos to your full sized cookie. Put this on top of your cupcakes and add a little pink bow with some icing and you have a cute, edible decoration to add to the theme of your party!
