There’s a movement under way to give away 1,000,000 blankets to the needy this year. Impressed by President Obama’s message of our patchwork heritage, Blanket America is below way. The acquisition of every souvenir quilt will ensure the donation of a heat blanket to the less fortunate.

For every quilt purchased a blanket will be donated through Gifts In Kind International. The goal is to reach as several of the thirty five million Americans who live in poverty as potential with a message of caring and support and a practical gift of warmth.

Costs for the quilts are very affordable, starting at $59.99, and no extra donation is required to make the gift of a blanket, this can be a part of every purchase. There also are matching pillows and pillow shams available to complete the set. These are colorful patchwork and will easily work in any color scheme.

As President Obama stated, our patchwork heritage is that the mixing of all the people, abundant stronger together than apart. He referred to as on the nation to unite and to help one another. This quilt symbolizes that mission of mercy.

Comprised of 13 different fabrics representing the thirteen original states, these patchwork quilts will be out there in 3 sizes, Lap Blanket, full/queen, and king.
