How much can I sell my Cabbage Patch Kid for?
When i was about 7 or 8 [during '96-'97] I was taken to Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Ga. While there, my parents bought me a Limited Edition Chattahoochee Kid Cabbage Patch doll, right off the display. At the time, we paid about $200 for the doll, and I was thinking of selling it. It has never once been played with, but I do not have the birth certificate for it any longer, although the name tag is still intact.
I also have a newborn that we bought for about $250, that was born after I decided what ind of baby I wanted [race, eye color, hair color, sex], but we do not have the birth certificate for her, and her name tag has fallen off during moving. But, does anyone happen to know the worth of these dolls? Or where I can find the worth, without having to PAY money to find it? Or, is anyone an avid collector and happen to know?
I am looking to sell these dolls for some money, but I don’t want to sell them for $30 each if they’re worth more than that.
They are probably not worth very much since you don’t have the papers. With the papers they could sell for about $150 or maybe even a bit more, particularly if they were still in the original packaging and if you could find the right buyer. But even the most vintage in excellent condition rarely bring more than $50.
